Florida Undergraduate Research Conference

The Florida Undergraduate Research Conference (FURC) is one of the nation's largest multi-disciplinary research conferences. It is an annual event open to all undergraduate researchers in the state of Florida to present their research in a poster forum. Every year, the conference is hosted at a different college or university in the state. The conference boasts some of the best networking opportunities with fellow researchers and graduate programs across the country, as well as workshops and other professional development experiences.

Florida Undergraduate Research Posters at the Capitol in downtown Tallahassee will be held next during the legislative session of 2026!
Florida Undergraduate Research Posters at the Capitol is an opportunity for 3 students from each FURA Institutional Member to share their dynamic and engaging undergraduate research and connect with Florida representatives. Students learn more about the political process and how to advocate for undergraduate research at the local and state governmental level.

Participant Selection Deadline - Thurs, October 30
Participant Outreach Workshop - Fri, November 14
Finalized Abstract and Participant Info Deadline - Mon, December 14
Event Payment Deadline - Weds, January 7 (stay tuned for more details)

Rate: $199/night, includes a free limited breakfast and free parking

After the room block is full, reservations can be made directly with the hotel (if space allows) or any other accommodations that fit your institution's needs. Note: as this event is occurring during the Legislative Session, we encourage you to secure your reservations well before the event.
Event Payment
This opportunity to present at the Florida Undergraduate Research Posters at the Capitol is invitation-only and available for FURA Institutional Members, who will select up to 3 students to present. Participation in this year's event is $50/participant and includes dinner and lunch.
The deadline to submit payment for the event is Weds, January 7, 2026.
