The Florida Undergraduate Research Leadership Summit (FURLS) began in January 2019 at the University of Florida by the Center for Undergraduate Research Board of Students. FURLS is an intercollegiate summit for undergraduate student leaders involved in research to come together and discuss student-led initiatives that enhance the undergraduate research culture in the State. Attendees come from schools all over the state of Florida, representing the breadth of undergraduate research programs across the state.

Three main goals:

  • Promote, improve, and establish student-led undergraduate research groups at schools across the state of Florida.

  • Provide an environment to exchange ideas and practices.

  • Create and solidify a network between all schools in Florida of leaders in undergraduate research.
