Florida Undergraduate Research Conference
February 22-23, 2020
The Florida Undergraduate Research Conference (FURC) is one of the nation's largest multi-disciplinary research conferences. It is an annual event open to all undergraduate researchers in the state of Florida to present their research in a poster forum. Every year, the conference is hosted at a different college or university in the state. The conference boasts some of the best networking opportunities with fellow researchers and graduate programs across the country, as well as workshops and other professional development experiences.

Important Dates:
- Abstract submission deadline extended to Sunday, January 3, 2021
- Abstract acceptance notification: Tuesday, January 19, 2021

Registration deadline (for presenters paying for themselves and for presenters and non-presenting attendees who will be paid for by their institution): Monday, February 1, 2021

Payment deadline (for all presenters and group payments): Monday, February 8, 2021

Presenter Profile Set-up (on Whova): Midnight on Sunday, February 21, 2021

Final deadline to pay (on Eventbrite) as a non-presenting attendee: Monday, February 22, 2021
Registration (this step is only necessary for self-paying presenters and for presenters and attendees whose institutions are paying on their behalf):

Registration opens on Tuesday, January 19, 2021

All presenters must complete the registration process by Monday, February 1, 2021

Any non-presenting attendees whose institutions are paying on their behalf must also complete the registration process by Monday, February 1, 2021

If you are paying for yourself as a non-presenting attendee, you do not need to complete the registration process. Please see below for payment information.

If you have any questions about whether or not your institution is paying for you, please contact your Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR) or other relevant staff. Note: Your institution might have its own travel payment process with its own deadlines.
Payment

All payments will be completed through Eventbrite. Payment is $15 per person (presenter or attendee)

Payments for self-paying presenters and for all group payments are due Monday, February 8, 2021.

Group payments for schools that are FURA institutional members will be eligible for a 10% discount. The discount code will be sent to institutional members to use for group payments.

We warmly welcome friends, family, and the general public to attend FURC 2021. If you are just attending FURC 2021, you will need to pay by Monday, February 22, 2021.
Setting up Your Profile on Whova

After submitting your registration and your payment, you will receive an email from Whova to complete a profile on Whova. Note: it may take a few days to receive this profile set-up email. If it has been a week or more after you have registered and paid, please contact FURC2021@fsu.edu.

You can access Whova via your smartphone or your computer in order to complete your profile. There is a Whova smartphone app, which you can download using the button below. You can also access the conference website on your desktop.

After downloading the Whova app or accessing the Whova website, you must use the same email address that you used to register/pay, as this will allow you to automatically sign into the conference. Note: it would be best to use your institutional email across all steps of the registration/payment/Whova process.

Presenters will receive special instructions on completing their profile, including how to upload your poster and video presentation. These instructions will be sent out closer to the conference start date, but profiles with presentation materials must be completed by Sunday, February 21, 2021.

Non-presenting attendees can set up their profiles any time before the conference begins, but we recommend completing your profile by Wednesday, February 24, 2021.
