Florida Undergraduate Research Conference

The Florida Undergraduate Research Conference (FURC) is one of the nation's largest multi-disciplinary research conferences. It is an annual event open to all undergraduate researchers in the state of Florida to present their research in a poster forum. Every year, the conference is hosted at a different college or university in the state. The conference boasts some of the best networking opportunities with fellow researchers and graduate programs across the country, as well as workshops and other professional development experiences.

The Florida Undergraduate Research Association (FURA) and Florida State University are excited to invite your participation in and support of the 2021 Florida Undergraduate Research Conference (FURC). Choosing to participate in FURC 2021 will connect you to hundreds of Florida’s best and brightest students, who have a keen interest in pursuing graduate school and/or professional careers after completing their undergraduate programs.
FURC this year will be held virtually over Whova, a conference management app that will synchronize presentations via Zoom and connect you specifically with students interested in learning more about graduate school and other professional opportunities. This virtual format will give you a better opportunity to forge those connections, making your experience at FURC 2021 just as impactful. Read below for more details on becoming an exhibitor or a sponsor, Whova's engagement features (such as the Passport Contest), and, new this year, our dedicated graduate school recruiter and career fair!

In addition to the dedicated Grad School Recruiter Event, Grad School Exhibitors will have open Zoom rooms throughout the entirety of the FURC 2021 conference (except for the Welcome and Keynote portion)

The conference app, Whova, incentivizes student and grad school interaction with the "Passport Contest" feature, which tracks when students visit Grad School Exhibitors' Zoom rooms. Once students complete the Passport Contest, they can enter a raffle for a prize of FURC swag!

In addition to our Passport Contest, exhibitors are encouraged to hold their own giveaways. You can also have your swag included as part of the raffle prize, which will be mailed to students after the conference. You would have to send us the swag that you would like to send to students.
